About the event
Born in London and raised in the US, Katy Hurt was inspired by the sounds of Country, Americana, and Rock from a young age, drawing influence from legends like Bonnie Raitt, Sheryl Crow, The Eagles, and Patsy Cline. Since her debut in 2016, Katy has released a series of critically acclaimed singles and EPs, earning accolades such as the UK Country Music Spotlight Awards for Female Vocalist of the Year, Best EP, Best Song, and Best Video. Katy has toured extensively, gracing major festivals including Country 2 Country at the O2 Arena, Pilton Party on Glastonbury’s Pyramid Stage, and the Isle of Wight festival. Her time spent in Canada, which she now considers her second home, has been especially fruitful, leading to the creation of hit singles like “Sounds Good In A Bar” and “Wish I Could Give You Up.” These tracks, produced by Juno Award-winning producer Murray Pulver, hit Number 1 on the UK iTunes charts on their release day and have been featured on CBC, Sirius XM, KIX Australia, and Amazon Music playlists.
